Melanie Travis, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts & Performance from Arizona State University. While it was clear from a young age that she was a talented visual artist, her passion for paint wasn’t discovered until 2004 when she studied under acrylic & mixed media artist Mark Freedman. Melanie’s Pop Art-influenced acrylic paintings enable her to make strong statements on social and political issues in a subtle, lighthearted manner.
